Terms of Use

Effective as of 7 August 2026. Replaces the previous version of 2 September 2023.

SketchLab is operated by Hichem HAMMADACHE, 467 route de la Pompignane, 34170 Castelnau-le-Lez, France (“we”, “us”). These terms are the agreement between you and us for your use of the SketchLab / DrawMax app (the “app”). By downloading or using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

1. What the app does

SketchLab is a drawing-tutorial app. It provides step-by-step tutorials, lets you save the drawings you make, and — if you choose to — publish them so other users can see and like them. Some features require an account; some require a paid subscription.

2. Your account

You may use the app without an account, with limited features. To publish artwork, like other users' artwork or keep your progress across devices, you need an account, created with an email address, a Google account or an Apple account.

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. You must be at least 13 to create one. You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings.

3. Your content stays yours

The drawings, photos, tutorials and text you upload remain yours. We claim no ownership of them.

By publishing content in the app, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, resize and display it for the purpose of operating and promoting the app — that is, showing it in the community feed, in rankings, on your public profile, and in app store or social-media material featuring the app. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already needed for moderation or legal records, and for backups until they rotate out.

You confirm that you have the right to publish what you upload — that you drew it, or that you are otherwise allowed to use it, including any photo you import.

4. What you may not publish

This section is a condition of using the app. Do not upload, publish or send:

Do not attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or scrape the app or our servers, or to circumvent paid features.

5. Moderation, reporting and blocking

Published artwork is reviewed before it appears in the community feed. Content you have not published is visible only to you.

Every published artwork can be reported from the app. Every user can be blocked, which hides their content from you.

We may remove any content, unpublish it, or suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms — without notice where the content is seriously harmful or illegal. Reports are reviewed within 72 hours. If your content is removed, you can write to contact@sketchlabapps.com to ask why and contest the decision.

To report content or an account outside the app, or to report an intellectual property infringement, write to contact@sketchlabapps.com describing the content and why it should be removed.

6. Free features and paid features

Some tutorials and features are free; others require a subscription. Which ones are which can change, and we may add or remove content.

7. Subscription

8. Our content

The tutorials, illustrations, text, layout, name and logo of the app belong to us or to our licensors. You may use them only inside the app, for your personal use. You may not copy, redistribute or resell them, and you may not republish our tutorials as your own — including as a community tutorial in the app.

9. Availability, and things we do not promise

We work to keep the app available and working, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. The app needs an internet connection for most features; your mobile data charges are yours.

The app is provided “as is”, without warranties beyond those the law gives you and does not allow us to exclude. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data you have not backed up elsewhere. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

10. Ending this agreement

You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms. If we end your access for a reason other than a breach by you while you have a paid subscription, you keep access for the period already paid for.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will update the effective date above and, for changes that materially affect you, tell you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new version.

12. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of France, and disputes are subject to the courts of France. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of your country of residence, nor of the right to bring proceedings there.
